I tapped my pen to a blank page of my note book. Well almost blank. I did have a head line for the topic I was going to expand upon. Typical English Sayings – Idioms. It's a paper that is due in a week. I should have started this weeks ago, but I tricked myself into thinking that I had plenty of time. Instead, my time got consumed by other courses and their material that either needed to be studied, written or researched. I looked around the large room and I was impressed with the tall shelves as much now as I was on the day I was here on a campus visit when I was evaluating my choices. I watched a female student walking along the balcony next to the archaeology section on the third floor. Her moss green plaid socks reached her knees, or at least I think they did. Tiffany stares at the grimy glass a few feet above her, weak morning sunlight highlighting the motes of dust floating through the air. When she was younger, she used to think the dust was actually bits of feather, left behind by angels. She knows better now - guardian angels aren't real - but she still thinks it's pretty, watching it float through the shards of sunlight.
Still, it bothers her that the window is so filthy. It's been that way since she started, but now the days are getting brighter and longer, it looks filthier by comparison.

The nighttime sky was showing off the multitude of stars in the sky, accompanying the street lights in illuminating the neighborhood. The neighborhood was a Cul-De-Sac that had a two-story house at the end of the road, that on the outside, looked like every normal house with the brown brick walls, black roofing on the top, and even a small chimney. However, the inside of the house was another matter completely.
The inside of the house was completely dark aside from a few light bulbs that gave off blue light and had an unusual occupant inside of it. The woman walking around the halls of the house was dressed in a lon

“Alright, you punks! Let’s get this done quickly, my daughter is almost done with her nap and I want to be there when she wakes up,” a woman with long brown hair in her mid-30s said, with frustration in her voice to the group of bank robbers dressed head to toe in black. This woman was dressed in regular clothes, with a purple T-Shirt and blue jeans, with gray tennis shoes on her feet.
“Look, lady, why don’t you just back the hell off and we won’t hurt you or your ugly little brat!” the lead robber with an AK-47 in his hand yelled. Before he could even turn back around towards the bank,

“Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I’m Brandon Castle representing channel 4 news and with me is local hero, Jason Funk,” a portly man with slick black hair and glasses introduced, putting his microphone underneath his guest’s face as the camera panned to Jason. Jason had a military buzz cut, slightly muscular frame, a sleeveless black t-shirt, and a small smile on his face as he waved to the camera.
“Now Jason, you have been credited for convincing people to help repair the Silver Fence Bridge here in Durham, North Carolina after a devastating earthquake that occurred only two weeks earlier. And

“Hey Alex, what’s going on?”
“Nothing much Kyle, what’s up with you?”
“Nothing…except that I found this!” Kyle exclaimed, opening his backpack and revealing a clear orb.
“…OK, it’s a glass ball,” Alex responded back. Kyle shook his head, pushing his orb into Alex’s face.
“No! It’s not just a glass ball! It’s a magical orb that allows me to do whatever I want!” Kyle exclaimed, shaking the ball in front of Alex’s face, which looked at Kyle with apathy on his face. “Alright, here I’ll prove
